What a festive time of year! AVANCE Pre-K students at Rayburn Elementary delivered wonderful performances Wednesday afternoon to spread holiday cheer this season.

Dressed in their holiday best, the young performers shined as they acted, danced and sang in English and Spanish.

The performances showcased traditional favorites such as “the 12 days of Christmas” and a current rock ‘n’ roll style “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” The finale was a rousing “Feliz Navidad.”

“The show was great,” Rayburn Elementary Principal Faith Molina said. “It was so nice to see all the teachers collaborate with AVANCE to make sure the community came out to celebrate our kids.”

There were many family members in attendance, and the joy of watching their little ones was obvious.

“Knowing that parents are their child’s first teachers, and our partner in their successful education, we work hard to involve our community,” AVANCE Pre-K Teacher Michelle Brown said. “Celebrating the holidays together and exhibiting the children’s budding talent is just one way to increase family involvement.”

Way to go, Rayburn panthers!
