Pre-K students from Gillette Elementary who maintained perfect attendance during the last two weeks were rewarded with a fun game day on Nov. 17.
Students had tricycle and scooter relays, balanced a roll on their head, counted and stacked orange candy slices, played ring toss and participated in a turkey baster race.
Proud parents were also invited to join the festivities. They helped their children make turkey treats out of candy, goldfish and popcorn! They also enjoyed a slice of pumpkin pie together.
“Parents and students were congratulated for being present,” Gillette Elementary Academic Dean Julia Gimbel said. “Attendance is important, and we set the standards and expectations at that grade level.”
Congratulations, students!
