Leal Middle School celebrated Grandparents Day with a special breakfast held at the school’s library on Sept. 10.
Hosted by the student leadership organization IMPACT, the event brought in grandparents and students from the Leal community. Together, they enjoyed donuts, pan dulce, coffee donated by Starbucks and juice provided by the Communities in Schools team.
“Students and their grandparents not only shared a breakfast together, but also memorable conversations,” LMS IMPACT Sponsor Olivia Robinson said. “IMPACT's goal for this event was to celebrate the grandparents within our community and also make them partners in their students' education.”
